The work was created during the lockdowns of 2020 and 21 and responds to the theme of Emergency by exploring how Covid-19 has changed my relationship to the city I live in. The images are often capturing beautiful or serene moments of solace and retreat in the outdoors that I’ve found in my daily life but the words attempt to describe some of the undercurrents of uncertainty and loss that underpin all our lives at the moment. These compilations are experiments, rough cuts of ideas I’m playing with in both my poetry and photography and are very much a work in progress.
